Photoshop, it’s a word that may be intimidating to some or maybe you think it’s just for fashion magazines and celebrities to shave a few pounds off but you would be wrong. The makers of Photoshop have made it accessible to everyday people, and with Adobe Photoshop Elements 14 & Adobe Premiere Elements 14 they wanted to take the power of Photoshop and video and make it easier for the everyday user… YOU.
When you first load the software you can choose to open the photo editor, organizer or the video editor. When opening the organizer for the first time you will have the option to import your photos to the software so you can further organize and ultimately edit them.
The organizer saves images by date at first, which is very helpful. The software also has a People view that allows you to assign names to the faces that the software picks up so in the future you can easily find that particular person. You can create groups as well like friends, family, coworkers, and so on.
The Places view shows you where a photo was taken. You are also able to assign the location and when you zoom in on the map you can see where all of your photos were taken. The Events tab allows you to group by just that, the event the picture was taken at be a party, graduation, wedding, vacation and so on.
All amazing features to organize and find your photos.
Once you have your photos organized it’s time to start editing. Once you have chosen the picture you want you will click on edit and the screen above will pop up. You will see at the top of the screen that you can choose from eLive, Quick, Guided and Expert. eLive is a great place to find tip and tricks from other websites and members. Quick is for the novice, Guided contains tutorials and walkthrus and Expert is for the advanced user.
