I have five pets; one dog, 3 cats that live indoors and one stray that comes in every day but will eventually be an inside cat. So, with that being said, we deal with lots of dog hair/dander and it can make you feel like you are always cleaning up pet hair.
So when I started having a weird allergic reaction, I was worried that maybe I had developed an allergy to my on my pets, which can happen. But after lots of testing I was told that I have an allergy to dust mites, amongst other things, but not my pets, whew! When my allergist told me this of course I thought oh no, my house is not as clean as I thought BUT when you look up dust mites you will learn that it doesn’t matter how clean your home is, mites are small insects that you can’t see and can show up in 4 out of 5 homes. The environment determines a lot since they tend to thrive in warm, humid settings. They can cause all kinds of health issues from nasal allergies to skin irritation.

I found the vacuum very easy to use, although it is kind of large it wasn’t hard to handle or too heavy to operate. The instructions were easy to follow, and I love that they included another filter as well as a little brush to clean the machine. The only downfall is that it is a little loud and that set of my dog, he HATED it and wanted to fight it and the cats just hid away. You may want to use it when your pets are in another room if you have nervous Nellie’s who don’t like loud sounds like I do.
I tried it on our bed first, and you can do this directly on the mattress or just glide it across your sheet, the suction is so strong it is going to pull all the ick out of no matter what BUT it doesn’t pull your sheet into the machine like some do. I found it easy to maneuver.
I was pretty disgusted by what I saw in the cup, the amount of dust and whatever, was astounding. I will definitely be using it on my mattress every single time I change out the sheets.
I decided to try it out on my office chair next because lets face it, I have cats and they are on everything and my chair is a favorite sleeping spot when I am not using it. *The dust you see was from the bed as well as the chair.
Since it worked so well on both the bed and the chair, it was time to use it on the floor runner that I have between the kitchen and the dining room. It gets a lot of traffic and pet love. It really does a great job of a regular vacuum, although it can be cumbersome bending over to use it since it is mainly a handheld. I would love it even more if it had some sort of attachments for carpet use and to get into all the crevices of furniture.
