I was fortunate to stay in one of the resorts and tour the other two and I would be happy to stay at any of them. Each resort offers the Hershey Resorts Advantage which includes complimentary seasonal shuttle service to Hersheypark, 1-hour early access to select rides and attractions at Hersheypark, and also complimentary admission as a Hotel or Lodge guest and preferred pricing on admission for Hersheypark Camping Resort guests to The Hershey Story’s Museum Experience and the Hershey Gardens.
Hershey Lodge
GUEST ROOMS: 665 rooms, including 16 suites
If you have ever imagined a “lodge” in your life, Hershey Lodge would be the reality. It is every bit as cozy and inviting as you could imagine a lodge to be. You definitely feel like you are away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and are in for a special treat while staying there.
When I first walked into Hershey Lodge I was taken aback by the beauty of the lodge and how every nook and cranny was adorned with holiday cheer. The lobby was grand and large with a cafe, restaurant and full bar. The decor was country chic, with fire places and cozy chairs and couches. I saw many family’s taking their Holiday photo’s in the lobby, it was just that gorgeous and the perfect backdrop.
One of the first things I saw was the Kids Check-in center. Children experience their own check-in upon arrival, by signing the “Kids at Hershey Lodge” guest book, participating in a Hershey’s candy guessing game, and receiving their own chocolate surprise. Kids even get a lanyard that can be personalized with their name and contact information. I love this feature and how it makes children feel extra special.
I was lucky enough to stay at the Lodge and can’t wait to go back. I stayed in a luxurous King room that was super roomy and very comfortable.
The sweet little present on my bed each morning was a delight, as were the Hershey Kiss sheets and bathroom wallpaper. I found the chocolate scented amenities lovely and the room to be quiet and accommodating.
The amenities include three swimming pools (indoor and outdoor), a health and fitness center, Basketball and tennis courts, a game room, 18-hole miniature golf course and more!
The hotel also includes several dining options: Head to the Cocoa Beanery for a cafe style experience or sit down for breakfast at Lebbie Lebkicher’s. For lunch or dinner with the family, visit The Bears’ Den or Hershey Grill, and then head upstairs for a gourmet meal The Forebay.
You can also enjoy some shopping at Sweet Memories Gift Shop. They offer giftware, signature apparel, accessories and of course Hershey’s Chocolate. You can even purchase gift baskets to have placed in your room for when you arrive, or for a friend or family member’s room.
I was able to take in a show while there and I highly recommend you doing so when you stay. I saw a Chocolate Avenue Christmas and enjoyed a three-course Christmas matinee lunch. the Broadway-style performance was delightful and super fun! This is definitely something the entire family can enjoy. Be sure to reserve your spot!
