I have three cats and each one has their own distinct personality, this means they all need to shown love in different ways. Ollie, our oldest has always been a cat that will love you when and how he wants, there is no way you can love him first. Cheeto, our second oldest loves who he loves and is very particular. The love is usually in full bloom when he wants treats, that boy will do tricks for a good treat. Then there is Mia, she is our baby kitty who was living in the alley for some time and I think developed some feral ways. She is a lot like Ollie and will love you on her terms and doesn’t take kindly to you loving on her first.
All of those distinct personalities are all shown love in very different ways. Ollie is much older than the other two so I tend to make sure he is comfortable. He likes my office chair so when I am done for the day I place his favorite blanket on the chair so he can snuggle and sleep there throughout the night.
Cheeto loves many things, treats, boxes, toys, walking outside, etc. He is my love bug, so I make sure he has all of his favorites each day, especially treats, that boy could eat them all day!
Mia, again, is much like Ollie. Her favorite thing to do is nap. She will stay curled up on my bed for hours at a time. She’s a bit stand-offish still, so we show our love by letting her be until she is ready to interact.
All these are ways I show love to my cat, and they always return the love especially when they get treats or new pet food. Feeding your pet food that is not only good for them but is also from a company that also shows its love for animals means a lot to me. Chicken Soup for the Soul Pet Food is and continues to be my cats favorite, all three of them, that in itself is quite a feat. It’s rare that all three like the same thing, let alone the same food!
