Exercise more

Some people may not be aware but fitness and health have a big impact on mental health and a great way to try and get it back on track is exercise, no matter how much you do exercise will make you feel better in the long run even if at the time it may not. What exercising does, especially exercise you enjoy, is release endorphins in the brain which naturally make you happier and have been known to help with depression and anxiety. Unfortunately, unfit or unhealthy people can be impacted more by mental health because they are not exercising. It can be simple exercise anything that gets you moving and the blood pumping and this will help to reduce your mental health problems, in some cases, exercise is even prescribed for depression.

Update your home

This one may sound weird but your home is somewhere you stay a lot especially in recent times with lockdowns and more people working from home. Therefore if your home is outdated or messy then this can impact your mental health by being there all the time and seeing it, just by updating your home a bit it can make you feel happier and allow you to better your mental health in the process, maybe it is just a lick of paint or updating to vinyl flooring anything that makes you see your home in a new light and what makes you happy will help to make an impact on any mental health problems.

Surround yourself with good people

Make sure you are surrounding yourself with nice people that can support you and help you with your mental health, sometimes people that have gone through the same as you or even are going through the same can be really helpful for each other as you can help one another and better your mental health together. Being around toxic people that knock you down rather than pick you up will just make you spiral further into the pit that is mental health. Be with people that make you happy and cast out anyone that brings you down in any way.

Mental health is no minor thing and these tips may not sort it completely but hopefully, they can help you make a start on beating your mental health and starting a happier life you are in control of.
