The View – It’s Raining Men!

So the end of the week wasn’t as exciting as the start of the week on The View, but of course there was an outburst from Elisabeth to keep me talking back to the TV. (I can always count on her to get me riled up).

Thursdays show had two men, Joe Scarborough was the moderator and Stephen A. Smith was the co-host. It looked strange seeing the men amongst the women, but again, their perspectives were interesting. One of the hot topics was the head of BP calling the people affected by the spill “small” which a lot of people took offense too.

What I take offense to is Hollywood not coming to the aid of these people in the capacity that they have for other countries. Come on people, it shows a lack of empathy for the people of “your” country. The only people who I have seen any response out of has been Kevin Costner, Ian Somerhalder and Kate Walsh who was a guest on today’s show. I want to see more of the people who have a platform stand up and take steps to help!

Also, Elisabeth saying that Katrina and the Gulf Oil Spill are “comparable” disgusted not only me but Sherri as well. There is no comparison in my book and Elisabeth needs to think before she makes such asinine comments. Really!

Friday brought back Bryant Gumbel as the moderator and Valerie Bertinelli as the co-host. I just love her; she is just so genuine and real. They both did a great job. Kyra Sedgwick was the guest and was extremely sweet talking about being married to Kevin Bacon and about her show The Closer.

Monday will have Tom Bergeron as the moderator and comedian Jay Mohr as the co-host. Jada Pinkett Smith will be the guest as well as a segment on the best of As Seen on TV products. Should be interesting. Are you gonna watch?

Don’t forget, if you missed any shows this past week, you can watch them online on The View’s website.
