As you know from my other posts, I was lucky enough to attend a blogging conference in the city of Chicago recently. I chose to stay at The Hyatt Regency McCormick Place because of the affordability at first, then when I saw how above and beyond they go for their customers, I was even happier with my decision to stay there. Liz, who reached out to me on Twitter was amazing before my trip, so I knew I would be in great hands while there.

My roommate and I stayed in the Skyline Suite. This suite was on the 30th floor on the corner, so you can imagine how amazingly beautiful the views were.
Once we arrived at the hotel we went to the front desk to check in. The front desk agent was very friendly and super quick, she had us in our room in no time, we even had our bags waiting for us when we arrived at our room.
The suite was beyond words, we had three doors that led to the room itself, on one side we had a very spacious living room, bathroom, kitchen, and dining room. The other room contained two beds, and another bathroom, which was perfect for two women sharing a suite, we each had our own, score!
The view as I suspected was just out of this world, I could have stared out the window for days, simply gorgeous.

We also had the best breakfast at the Shor restaurant. The food was delicious, and the buffet I would personally give 5 stars. Our servers each day made sure we did not want for a thing, they were very attentive and personable.
Besides Shor, there are three other dining options;
This traditional Italian trattoria restaurant offers satisfying, freshly made salads, sandwiches, and Panini sandwiches for a fast paced day in Chicago.
Daily Grind is our Fresh Market, perfect for grabbing your daily specialty coffee, fresh baked breads, pastries, a quick lunch or snacks before heading out to enjoy a day of business or pleasure in Chicago.
Relax with your favorite beverage in M/X, our signature Chicago bar lounge where you can mix & match from our “mini” restaurant menu or try one of Hyatt’s distinctive Diamond cocktails.
The entire stay was great, my only concern was that the room felt dry to me. I was informed that they would have provided a humidifier, but we were so exhausted that we didn’t even think to ask for one. They have a whole list of items you can request from hairspray to slippers. I did request a few items, and they were delivered immediately so great service.
The last day of our stay we had amassed a mountain of luggage, we sent down for a Bellman to help us get it all loaded and down to the van, and in walks Brandon. He was super helpful, friendly, and really just sent us off with a smile. They could have asked for a better employee.
I would recommend the Hyatt Regency McCormick Place to anyone travelling to Chicago. If you want service with a smile and attention to detail, then you will be more than happy with your stay.
Oh, if you are a Transformer fan, Transformers 4 is filming in Chicago this summer, and McCormick Place Square is going to be blown up during one of the action sequences sometime August 22-23rd!
Right now you can book a room and save $40 off the rate of the day so you can be in on the action and say you were there during the filming, how cool would that be?
