The nation’s largest baking company, Bimbo Bakeries USA is bringing a new way to snack from Sara Lee. Sara Lee, an American icon is introducing a variety of pre-portioned delicious Snack Cakes to lunch boxes nationwide this August. Just in time for back-to-school, the new, baked fresh to go Snack Cakes make it easy to take along the quality and heritage of the Sara Lee brand to consumers on-the-go, for anytime snacking.
I was sent two boxes of Sara Lee Snack Cakes to review. I am gluten-free, so I enlisted the help of my family not that I had to twist their arms or anything, they gladly accepted the mission.
We received the Golden Fudge Cakes and the Buttery Sunshine Cakes, both boxes were gone in a couple of days, so that right there tells you how much my boys (hubby included) loved them!
The consensus was “YUM” – seriously, they devoured them. They said that they were both fresh, and very moist. They tasted like they were homemade, and not store bought. This doesn’t surprise me since we are fans of Sara Lee products and always loved the way they taste like we baked them at home.
The new line of Sara Lee Snack Cakes come in a variety of flavors;
Creme Filed Snack Cakes
- Devil’s Food Creme Cakes – Devil’s food cake topped with a layer of creme, surrounded by a rich chocolate coating.
- Chocolate Creme Cupcakes – Chocolate cake filled with sweet creme, and iced with chocolate and a white icing drizzle.
- Golden Fudge Cakes – Golden cake topped with fudge, within a chocolate shell.
- Golden Creme Cakes – Golden cake with creme filling.
Variety Snack Cakes
- Buttery Sunshine Cakes – Buttery golden cake.
- Crumb Cakes – Golden cake covered with a sweet crumb topping.
- Cheese Topped Crumb Cakes – Golden cake topped with rich cheese and sprinkled with a sweet crumb topping.
