Product Review | Happy Toy Machine

Have you ever wanted to create your own plush toy? I’m not talking about an already “made” toy that you can customise with clothes and such, I’m talking about choosing everything from the body, arms & legs, to the color and special features.

Well, now you can at Happy Toy Machine! You can customize and create your very own plush toy on their website using their super easy tools!

I had the opportunity to try out the site and make a toy for my youngest son, who right now, is obsessed with Toy Story. I thought I would try to make him a toy that kinds sorta looks like one the of the toys from the movie and I think I did a pretty good job of it too. You be the judge later on when you see it 😉

Making a toy is really easy…..Once you make a free account, you will click on “create toy,” from there you have the option to choose the type of toy that you want to make: bear, puppy, cat, robot, monster, alien, etc. or click “surprise” to have one randomly selected.  I choose an alien, but really wanted to make a puppy 😉

 Once you have the type of toy set, you will move on to the next screen that kind of looks like Window’s Paint program with various options to help create your toy. Choose from the type of head you would like your toy to have, the type of arms, legs, tail, wings, and head adornments and so on. There’s only one body choice at this time, so you will have to use the one provided.

There are also facial features that you can use and a few features that are “coming soon,” but there are still plenty active to get you started.  I liked that I could add text to the toy, for instance, if you want to personalize it even more you could put the recipients name on it, or a cute little saying.

I suggest playing with all of the features for awhile to get used to how they work and to see all of the options you have.  For me, I liked the color feature, and the eyes section, so I could try and match my alien to the movie aliens.

Now that you have created your toy, go ahead and name it. You can save it to “my creations, ” edit it at any time, order it or share with other members. The cool thing about sharing it is, other people can then order your creation.

I found it easy to use, and pretty self explanatory while in the toy making process. I do wish they had more options like clothes, but again, there’s enough to keep you occupied.

Once I created this little guy above, it took about 2 weeks for me to receive it, which I thought was amazing! The toy is very well made, hand-stitched, and super plush. It would be perfect for smaller children too since there aren’t any parts that could come off. Over all, I am pretty impressed with the whole process and think it would make a terrific gift, even for adults.
