Week 29 on Nutrisystem and I am having a bad week, again. Not with the food, but with my personal life. I am trying not to let the emotions run my eating habits, but it’s hard some days.
I have noticed that I feel hungrier, I don’t know if it’s the cooler weather and I am in some weird hibernating mindset, or if I got used to eating off plan and now that I am back on, my body is all confused.
I did go back on plan, and am trying a new approach…since I have a house full of voracious boys, and of course I have to make them dinner, I have been trying to match my meals to theirs using Nutrisystem. For instance, the other night I made meatloaf, mashed potatoes and broccoli for the family, so I cooked my own Nutrisystem meatloaf and mashed potatoes and ate some of the broccoli. I felt more “included” in meal time since we were all eating the same thing.
This week I also took a look at the Nutrisystem discussion boards to find some new recipes so I could change things up some since I tend to get into a rut with my meals. I love that there are “real” people on the boards who are going through the same ups and downs as I am – helps keep me motivated knowing I am not alone.
I did lose another pound, even with all the bad news I have been hearing lately (maybe I have a hold of my emotional eating after all), so I am at a total of 23! I’m a turtle when it comes to losing weight, but I’d rather lose it slow, then not at all 🙂
