*ENDED* Terro Ant Killer Product Giveaway *ENDS 5/11/10

I received the Liquid Ant Killer and the Outdoor Ant Killer Shaker Bag from Terro in the hopes of ridding my house of the dreaded ants that have taken over my home. It never fails, every year in the Spring, like clockwork, I get a parade of ants that set up shop in my kitchen and near my front window in the living room.  I have tried everything and nothing seems to do the job, this was why I was excited to try Terro products since they were probably the only product I hadn’t tried.

First, I set out the liquid traps which was super easy to do. All you do is tear out the little squares that are on the package and place some of the liquid bait on top and place where you see the  ants. I liked that they were small enough to put under cabinets and out of reach of the kids and the animals.

Now that the inside was done and traps were set I had my husband use the easy to use shaker bag to take care of the perimeter of the house to stop them from coming in at all, something I never even thought about before but boy does that makes sense.

Flash forward to the kitchen and window traps, I checked them about an hour or so after placing them down and voila! I had tons of the little buggers just chowing away. Yay! I was told by the Terro representative that at first you would see more ants since they were basically announcing to the whole colony that there was a food source so more would come to check it out and that they did.

As for the outside shaker bag pellets, I really couldn’t gage if they stopped them from coming in, only that I didn’t see any in the front window (the garden where we shook the pellets into is right under the window), so I am assuming it worked its magic.

Now five days later I don’t see any ants in my kitchen or near my window, so I conclude it was a huge success!
