Before I say anything else, Rouge One was fantastic. I felt invested in the characters, even the bad guys. I felt invested in their struggles and what drives them to do what they did. I also felt invested in the storyline in general. All in all, it was a true and proper prologue to A New Hope. So, if you have not seen it, go buy the Blu-Ray now. If you have seen it, you know what I’m talking about!

As for the Blu-Ray Extra Features…
There are separate featurettes for all of the main characters which give you a little background about the characters, where they come from, what motivates them, how they were brought to life in the movie. All of this is very important to the story. A large part of the original trilogy was the connection you felt with the main characters. We cared about them, what they did, what they felt and we understood why they did what they did.

The look into the mindset of the actor portraying the characters adds to the mythos of the universe. The rich background of this story and the characters are not only based on the movies but the television show Rebels and Clone Wars as well as the rich tapestry of novels expanding on the incredibly intertwined history of this far away galaxy.
You get some of the insights and thought processes of the director, costume designers and actors that drove this movie solidly into the mythos of the Star Wars universe and an outstanding addition to any Star Wars collection.
