I absolutely love rice, could eat it all day if it was on my diet plan. I also have two boys who love rice, so I was happy to try Jasmati Rice from RiceSelect.
I usually make rice once a week as a side dish, so as soon as I received the jar of Jasmati, I made some for dinner. I had tried Jasmati Rice one time before, it was actually in some dinner kit we bought, but for the life of me can’t remember what it was. I seem to recall that it was a Asian dish and that it was delicious!
Jasmati is a jasmine-style long grain rice that is grown in the United States. It is cooked the same way traditional rice is cooked, but to me, has a better consistency, it’s not really sticky or starchy like white rice, and it has almost a sweet flavor to it, not too sweet though, just a subtle hint. It also smells amazing, I can’t describe it, but it is almost again, a sweet smell. You really don’t need to add anything to it, it is good on its own.
My entire family loved Jasmati Rice and will continue to purchase it. If you want to try RiceSelect, you have your pick of a variety of flavors and styles, and during the months of September, October and November 2011, you will see RiceSelect™ Texmati® White rice will be brightening store shelves with their pink lids and labels in support of Susan G.
