New Super Mario Bros.™ 2 Thwomps™ Building Set
I have a Mario fan in my house, a HUGE Mario fan, so suffice it to say, this particular building set (and all of the sets) is on his Christmas wish list. When he was making his list he didn’t even know this existed until he was looking on the ToysRUS website and spotted it. All I heard was a scream of “Wah Hoo!” He was so excited that he put down every set of Mario from K’NEX that he could find.
The New Super Mario Bros. 2 Thwomps Building Set is a whole new adventure with Fire Mario & Silver Luigi, yep, fire and silver. My son didn’t even read that part, so he will be excited to play with them as they go through this huge castle set. K’NEX’ has also incorporated a brand new feature for this set, an all new jump disk and launcher that will allow Mario to run and jump, just like he does in the game! My son is gonna flip his lid!
The premise of this set is just like playing the game in real life, you drop Fire Mario & Silver Luigi down through the warp pipe to enter the course and try to avoid the Thwomps, the angry-looking dudes you see in the pic. All you have to do is slam them down to open your path. Also, to make it just like the game, you collect coins, and power up mushrooms as you go through the set.
There is also whole other side to play on! Cross over the lava and you will see a door where the Bone Goomba is hiding and you have to hit the target to defeat him, then raise your flag to declare victory! Your child will have twice the fun with this amazing set!
The best part, you can combine this set with other K”NEX Mario sets to make one huge Mario world!
