So I have seen this Kit Kat cake cake making its rounds all over the Internet as of late and my boys have been begging me to make it. So, having the most wonderful hubby in the world, he just came home with all the cake fixins’ BUT instead of regular cake mix, he bought the gluten free mix from Betty Crocker so I could try a piece. (I have a gluten sensitivity, not full blown Celiac’s, just a allergy to most cake flours and some wheat).
So here is my version:
Ingredients:
- One box of Betty Crocker Gluten free Cake mix
- 1 Bag of M&M’s
- 3 large packages of Kit Kat Bars (you could also use GF Wafers )
- Dark Chocolate Frosting
Break apart each Kit Kat and place around the sides of the cake. I had to cut the Kit Kat’s to fit, gluten free cakes don’t rise very high, so keep that in mind if you use a GF mix.
Then add the M&M’s on top.
You can add ribbon around the cake to make it even more festive.
ENJOY!!

I made a similar one for Easter. I used vanilla frosting and white Kit Kats around the side and filled it with berries glazed with a little melted apple jelly….got RAVE reviews!
That sounds really good, may have to try that too 🙂
