I love veggies, all kinds, which is funny because as a child I wouldn’t touch them, much like my youngest son. As I grew older I made myself try new things, and my love of veggies was born.
My oldest is also a veggie lover, in fact, when he was smaller he would ask for green beans, or broccoli for a snack, and at 15, he still enjoys them.
We as a family are night snackers, so that makes managing our weight a little tough from grabbing the wrong kinds of snacks. If you want to stay on track, Green Giant® can help with more flavor: from steamed, crunchy, fresh veggies that are seasoned with delicious low-fat sauces and spices, perfect as side-dishes, and snacks.
There are 27 varieties under 100 calories, and portion sizes that are much bigger than you think! Now you can pile on the veggies and feel better about your diet.
I like to roast veggies in the Fall, all kinds of veggies, and you don’t need to have fresh to do so.
Roasted Brussels Sprouts
Ingredients
- Green Giant Baby Brussels Sprouts in Butter Sauce
- Salt
- Pepper
Directions
Let the frozen package of Brussels Sprouts thaw a little so the butter melts some. Pre-heat your oven to 425 degrees. Place foil on a cookie sheet and set aside. Place Brussels sprouts on the cookie sheet and add salt and pepper. I like to use garlic salt. Roast for 25 to 30 minutes, turning every so often so they don’t burn.
Serve as a side, or eat as a snack.
