When we moved into out home 8 years ago we bought new couches to start “fresh,” – new home, new furniture, new life. In the years that have followed our “new” couch has taken a severe beating, thanks to my two boys. 😉
I have had to cover it from various juice incidents and various markers that created artwork on the cushions, and the cushions themselves have had their share of beatings. I have been reduced to placing wood slabs under each of them to provide some support, but they still feel “off.” I won’t even sit on that couch in fear I will be sucked in and never be able to get out of it!
So like many of you, I have been seeing the TV ads for Furniture Fix and was intrigued, (I love infomercials and have purchased several items from them, I can’t help it ;). Then I was asked to review the product and of course I was thrilled!
Since I don’t have the money to buy a new couch, I thought I would review Furniture Fix and see if it helped my lopsided sinking couch issue.
The package comes with 6 durable panels that interlock and instructions on how to place them under cushions. They are super easy to lock together and you can adjust them to your liking once together.
My couch dips on one side, so I suspect that it’s spring related, so I placed it on that side, but before I did, I made sure to sit there so I could judge the difference (remember I said I don’t like to even sit on it anymore). I could feel a difference in the firmness for sure, and I didn’t feel like I was being sucked into it, so for me it did it’s job. My oldest also tried it out since he sits there most of the time and he said that “it definitely feels better.”
If you have a larger couch, you will need at least 12 panels to cover it fully, but the 6 would be great for chairs.
Furniture Fix retails for around $14.99 and you can find it at national chains like Wal-mart, Walgreens, and Bed, Bath & Beyond. You can also order it online for $14.99 (plus shipping & handling).

I would use Furniture Fix on my couch as well. My girls have been doing gymnastics on/off it, and while their bridge kickovers are now looking awesome, my couch does not! 😉
I would use it on the middle part of my sectional. We’ve had the couch for years and you can definitely tell where our favorite spots are!

Id use it in the main room where all the guys in the house feel its ok to just Plop down on the sofa and love seat instead of sit nicely. All the areas under the cushions are trashed and in dior need of a facelift.. lol. =)
Most definitely our love seat. We sit down and then it’s nearly impossible to spring back to our feet. We have to take turns pulling each other up! 🙂
There is a loveseat at work that is sadly sagging. Like you, I avoid it out of the fear that someone will have to pull me out of it! I would love to try to work a miracle on it with Furniture Fix.

I would use Furniture Fix on my sofa.
OMG! My sofa is desperately in need of this. I’ve almost ordered it from television. I would love to win.
