A few weeks ago I posted a contest where my readers had to make a dinosaur from recycled materials they found around the house. They had the chance to win a huge prize from Pixar and show us their creative skills while being environmentally friendly.

“Collin and I wanted to make a cool dinosaur . My son’s favorite is a stegosaurus rex so we had to make that one. I looked all over the house for spikes but found nothing. Collin then went into all our drawers and found the spoon straws that we rarely use. He said these would make great spikes. So we cut them and glued them all on and it did look so cool. It was amazing to me that he had the vision to use them like that considering he is only four. I was very proud of him and had a lot of fun making it. It was a nice bonding experience for both of us and he was thrilled to have won with something he had his hands in making. Thank you again for this fun contest!”
