Cars Toon Video Game 5

My boys loved the Cars movie, so we were happy to get the opportunity to review the new Cars Toon: Mater’s Tall Tales game for the Wii console.

So as a family of four, we like to get games that we can all play together and this game did not disappoint. Cars Toon: Mater’s Tall Tales is made for up to four players, which is great! We promptly opened the game and started playing. The game itself is based on the animated short series and incorporates a lot of the series in the game-play.

Just like the series, Mater tell some serious “tall tales” that your character can join in on with a series of mini-car games. A good thing to point out to your children while playing through the games and helping Mater against “ninja cars or aliens, or what have you, is to explain what “Tall Tales” are. Although the game isn’t meant to teach a lesson, it doesn’t hurt to explain a bit 🙂

My boys loved earning coins that they could use to spruce up their vehicles, heck, I enjoyed that too, so did my husband, lol.  I loved how everyone received coins to do this, not just the person who was winning. This helped ease the pain of losing 😉

My boy are 7 and 12, and they really enjoyed the game and all of the 30 mini-games. It is definitely one that children would enjoy and even parents. Overall this is a great “family game night” addition that will have your entire family interacting. Grab this one for the holidays, your kids will love it!

Disclosure: I wrote this review while participating in a blog tour campaign by Mom Central Consulting on behalf of Disney Interactive Studios and received the Cars Toon: Mater’s Tall Tales Wii game to facilitate my review.
