This past Saturday, Snoopy and Belle were joined by Francesca Capaldi at a Peanuts themed Valentines Day Party at the Park Hyatt in Carlsbad, CA. Francesca will be starring as Charlie Brown’s beloved Little red-Haiored girl in the 20th Century Fox and Blue Sky Studios Peanuts 3D feature film debuting worldwide on November 6, 2015.

Sweets for a Sweetie: 10-year-old actress Francesca Capaldi was sweet on the beautiful Snoopy and Belle Valentine’s cakes at her pre-Valentine’s party.
Capaldi, known to TV viewers as Chloe James on Disney’s Dog With a Blog, hosted dozens of her friends, including Skai Jackson (Jessie), Merit Leighton (A Tiger’s Tale), Marlow Peyton (Candybar), and Aubrey Miller (Spare Parts).

Doggone Adorable: Snoopy and his fashionista sister Belle joined Francesca and Skai Jackson from Disney’s “Jessie” for a shot in front of the new Peanuts Movie poster displayed at the party.
Guests tried on the latest Snoopy and his Sister Belle fashions from Target, danced to DJ-provided tunes, and decorated cupcakes with DecoPac decorations. Of course, they also enjoyed watching the classic Peanuts special, Be My Valentine, Charlie Brown, set to air on ABC alongside A Charlie Brown Valentine on February 13th at 8pmEST/7pmCT.

I was really excited to host this early Valentine’s party with Snoopy and his adorable sister Belle —it’s pretty much the best way to celebrate Valentine’s Day, ever!” says Capaldi. “My friends and I had a great time trying on clothes and making Valentine’s…and eating chocolate, of course!
After the party fun, the happy guests went home with goodie bags filled with Peanuts treats, including Snoopy and Belle apparel from Target, DVDs of the movies from Warner Home Video, Be Awesome books from Running Press, Nestlé’s candy, and valentines from Galerie.
My family and I hosted out very own Peanuts themed Valentines Day Party to get into the Valentine’s spirit. I made the chocolate cake recipe by Chef Franck Riffaud and it was amazing! Thanks to Cakes.com for the super cute icing decoration!

- Flour 3 Cups
- Sugar 3 Cups
- Salt 1 Tbsp
- Baking Soda 1 Tbsp & 1 Tsp
- Water (Boiling) ½ Cup
- Cocoa Powder ½ Cup
- Buttermilk ½ cups
- Vegetable Oil 1 Cup
- Eggs 3
- Vanilla 1 Tbsp
- Combine the buttermilk, oil, eggs and vanilla together with a whisk. Place the flour, sugar, salt, and soda together in a mixing bowl. Using the whip attachment on an electric mixer, add the liquid ingredients that were previously whisked, mix only until smooth. Boil the water and add it to the cocoa powder and whisk until smooth. Add the cocoa mixture to the previous batter. Let the batter sit 10 minutes before filling pans. Fill 2-8″ cake pans that have been greased and floured. Fill pans half full. Bake in oven at 350o for approximately 45 minutes. A knife inserted in the center will come out clean. Cool cakes before using.
