A couple of months ago I hosted an outdoor screening for Zootopia thanks to Disney. This past weekend we did it again, only this time we screened The Jungle Book.
Again, we used the AAXA P300 Pico/Micro LED Projector with 60 Minute Battery Life, and the Ion Audio iPA77 Tailgater Portable Bluetooth Speaker PA System with Microphone. Instead of sitting in the yard like we did the last time, we decided to screen it on the deck. The weather here has been unbearable with many days with the heat index over 110 degrees and with the heat comes the mosquitos so we knew if we were to try and do it in the yard next to the pool we would be eaten alive. On the deck we have mosquito fighting plants to help ward them off, plus it was just more comfortable.
One we decided where to screen it, we had to figure out what to use for a screen. We used our neighbor’s white privacy fence the last time. Now, if you have a white house you could always just screen it on the side of your home, we do but not enough if it shows to provided a big enough screen so my husband came up with the idea of using the back of one of our curtains.
A white sheet would have worked just as well but I don’t own plain sheets, so the curtain would have to do and it worked very well as you can see.
We just set up some chairs, grabbed some drinks and snacks and turned off the light and we were all set for the movie.
The Jungle Book is now available on Digital HD & Disney Movies Anywhere and will be available on Blu-ray August 30th. Grab it now and you too can host your very own movie screening at home.
