There is one chore that I usually don’t mind doing and that is the dishes. What I don’t love is the caked on mess that my family forgets to rinse off before sitting the dishes in the sink. About a year and a half ago we bought a new faucet because our old one was leaking and quite frankly, just plain old. We didn’t go all out with the new one, just something to make do until we could get one to match the kitchen as we slowly remodeled. This faucet did its job but it wasn’t the best at getting the caked on messes off and it too started to leak around the base.
Pfister reached out and offered several faucets for review and as soon as I saw the Glenfield Pull-down Kitchen Faucet I was in love. It looked exactly like I wanted my new faucet to look like from the style down to the Tuscan Bronze finish, it was perfect. The design is gorgeous and since we are changing the look of our kitchen to include dark finishes, the Tuscan Bronze is perfect. It really does change the entire look of my kitchen sink.
I loved that it in addition to stream and spray functions, it also provides a super powerful concentrated spray called a HydroBlade, that blasts through caked on messes in seconds. I have been using this feature a lot! It really does blast off anything that is normally hard to just wash off, and no more hard scrubbing, this does the job without have to do the manual labor. It is AMAZING!

My husband took on the task of installing the faucet and by his own admission, his handyman skills are, at best, intermediate. That being said, the installation was rather straightforward and not at all hard to do. The hardest part was getting the old faucet out, this took a little longer than we both thought it would. Be sure to turn the water going to the sink off and have some towels handy if you are attempting to install the faucet on your own. There will be some water spillage from removing the old lines and faucet.
After removing the old faucet, and cleaning the area, the first thing you want to do is make sure the holes are big enough for the various tubes to fit. This model does allow for 1, 2, 3, and 4 hole configurations. Depending on your set-up, you can choose to install with or without a deckplate, we chose to install it.
After placing the cover plate, insert the main faucet’s tubes into the hole and, using the included assistant nut tightener, which was a wonderful thing to have, lock the faucet into place. After that you connect it to the water lines, add the weight to the main line for the pull-down feature of the faucet and you are good to go. Installing the included soap dispenser is even easier. Everything you need is included in the package and if for any reason you lose it, you can access the instruction sheet online or you can access several of the installation videos on the site and on the Pfister YouTube channel.
