Over the weekend we held a screening party for the hit film Early Man from Lionsgate. Unfortunately, Maryland was struck with some super heavy storms this weekend so the movie part of our party had to be held inside. The kids didn’t mind one bit!
Early Man is set at the dawn of time, when prehistoric creatures roamed the Earth, courageous caveman hero Dug (Eddie Redmayne) and his best friend, Hognob, try to unite their tribe against a mighty enemy — Lord Nooth (Tom Hiddleston) and his Bronze Age City — to save their home.
We set up on the deck in case the storm wouldn’t pass by, and then set up a covered area for the kids to do the Early Man activities that we made for them. I printed out some of the coloring pages and tic tac toe pages from the Early Man activities I posted earlier this week.
My niece drew up and printed out a sabertooth tiger masks for them to color, and wear.
And we even unearthed some dinosaur fossils.
She also made little teeth out of clay for them to add marshmallows to make their very own Cavemen necklaces.
After grilling some burgers and hot dogs it was time to set up the amazing pop-up movie screen but it started to rain, so in the house we went to watch the movie. But how awesome is that screen? I am looking forward to many movie nights outside with that. It’s perfect!
Now it was time to dig into these Campfire cupcakes that my niece made. She found inspiration from these awesome Campfire Cupcakes online.
And a good time was had by all!
