Star Wars: The Book of Lists & Galaxy’s Edge Traveler’s Guide to Battu

There are two new books on the horizon: STAR WARS: GALAXY’S EDGE: TRAVELER’S GUIDE TO BATUU and STAR WARS: THE BOOK OF LISTS. They would both make the perfect gift for Dad, a friend, or just for yourself. Both books are by Cole Horton.

Features 100 Lists Compiling a Galaxy’s Worth of Trivia

Star Wars: The Book of Lists takes a fascinating look at the galaxy far, far away through trivia culled from both on-screen and off, spanning all nine movies. More than a simple accounting of fan-favorite characters or biggest opening weekends, this book is a compendium of the most compelling facts about the saga and fandom summarized in 100 lists. Find out these fun facts and more with comprehensive lists covering everything you’d want to know about the characters, creatures, ships, planets, and more:

  • Chewbacca’s Best Temper Tantrums
  • What are the dangerous critters in the galaxy?
  • The Best Known Jedi Knights and Masters
  • Which actors have voiced the most characters?
  • What are some of the most surprising cameos?

Compiling a galaxy’s worth of trivia and information about the Star Wars galaxy, Star Wars: The Book of Lists is an entertainingly accessible trivia format for both hardcore fans and casual viewers.

My husband is a Star Wars fan from the minute it arrived on the big screen in 1977. This book is like the ultimate bible to him. It’s the perfect book for the long-time Star Wars fan and those that may just be getting into the series. It has all of the information you’ve always wanted to know and it’s all presented with screenshots from the movies.

This is a fun book to flip through and the perfect gift for any Star Wars fan.

A hardcover edition of the book is currently available for pre-order on Amazon for $24.99 in the United States and $32.99 in Canada.

The official guide to the Disney theme park

Welcome to Batuu, a trading post at the edge of the galaxy where smugglers, bounty hunters, and rogue adventurers swap stories, food, and goods. Like any good tourist, you’re going to need a guidebook to lead you through your visit. Here is your official guide.

In 2019, Disney opened a new Star Wars addition to their parks: The planet Batuu. With STAR WARS: GALAXY’S EDGE: TRAVELER’S GUIDE TO BATUU (becker & mayer! June 9, 2020), Star Wars fans now have access to an authentic, in-world experience unlike anything they have ever seen before! This official guide to Batuu, written completely in-world, as if you are a visitor from another part of the galaxy, looking for recommendations on where to eat, shop, and sightsee during your trip to Black Spire Outpost. The guide also provides itineraries and descriptions of weekend trips “Beyond Batuu”; getaways to nearby planets and environs.

The guide features:

  • Full-color illustrations and maps
  • Original content from Lucasfilm and Walt Disney Imagineering
  • Backstories to characters and locations found in Black Spire Outpost

Whether strolling in The Galaxy’s Edge 15-acre park or simply being an armchair traveler, this immersive guide will delight any Star Wars fan.

I know nothing about Batuu, I will be the first to admit it BUT looking through this book made me want to visit. My husband, who is familiar with Batuu,  loved that this guide gave him an in-depth look into this world and tells him everything he needs to know from the types of species to the best drinks to have at the cantina.

The book is filled with images and is written in a way that you feel like you are a visitor learning about Batuu for the first time, and they really make it feel like you could actually visit for real. This is another definite must-have for the Star Wars fan in your life.
