As many of you know, I have a picky 6 year old, he will not eat anything remotely resembling a fruit, well maybe fruit roll-ups but they don’t count, right? A few weeks ago I saw that Starbucks was offering free samples of Peeled Snacks and became interested in what they were all about.
Peeled Snacks is the brainchild of a fellow Marylander, Noha Waibsnaider and are 100% Natural, single serve organic snacks that come in a variety of flavors. I had the pleasure of trying Much-ado-about-Mango, Pine-4-Pineapple, Banan-a-peel, Apple-2-the-core, Apricot-a-lot and Cherry-go-round (love the names) snacks and hopefully seeing if my son would at least try one. He did, to my surprise; he tried the Cherry and loved them. I couldn’t get him to try the others, but was happy that the Cherry won him over.
I have to say that the banana and the cherry were my favorites. You can definitely taste the freshness and the “real” fruit in these snacks. I am going to keep some on hand for my late night sweet tooth attack.
