I was happy to be contacted by the owner of Dakota’s Personalized Gifts to review a product and to host a giveaway. I adore personalized gifts. I have several from when my boys were born that are truly precious keepsakes to me now.
I think that personalized gifts are special, and receiving something that the person took the time to have personalized means says so much about the person and their relationship with the recipient. Dakota’s Personalized Gifts was started 5 years ago more as a part time hobby in a spare bedroom with “The Anniversary Rose” a business making roses for the traditional anniversary gifts (i.e. 1st year paper, 2nd year cotton, 5th year wood etc) cutting rose petals by hand with scissors. Quickly, this little part time hobby turned into a full time business and eventually expanded into personalized anniversary gifts, then more and more requests for personalized wedding, Mother’s & Father’s Day and Christmas gifts started coming and Dakota’s Personalized Gifts was born.
Soon the business took over a second bedroom and the garage, the following year it occupying two bedrooms, the garage & a full basement. With no room left to expand they were forced to move into a commercial location in 2009. They continue to expand with new products and updated equipment all the time which allows us to produce most of the personalized items in house.
I was happy to be able to pick out a product to review, with so many different categories to choose from it was hard for me to decide. However, I have a baby niece who will be two in October and the Embroidered My First Purse was the perfect choice! I cannot tell you how incredibly cute this little purse is.
