As you know, I have a house full of pets. I have two dogs Zoey and Radar and four cats Ollie, Cheeto, Mia and Loki.
Zoey and Radar were both adopted from not so great situations. Radar wasn’t allowed to experience the outdoors and was kept in a tiny apartment with a lot of children and other animals. Zoey was 7 months and on her 4th adoptive home before they decided she was just too much to handle, so we brought her home as a companion for Radar. Here we are now, 3 years later and we couldn’t imagine life without them.
Then we have our oldest, Ollie. We ended up adopting him from PetsMart for our oldest son. We don’t know his background but it’s never great to end up in a shelter looking for a home. He is now 15 years old and the love of our lives.
Cheeto was also adopted from a family that had a litter of kittens, he was a baby so we’ve pretty much had him from the start.
Now the other two, both Mia, 7, and Loki, 2 were found as kittens in our back alley. We have a high rate of feral and outdoor cats that live around us and unfortunately, they weren’t tipped (caught and spayed and neutered), so we would see little spurts of kittens. We took both of them in to feed them and help them find homes but of course, fell in love with them, and well, here we are a house with 6 pets!

Jennie Garth, is the 2020 Remember Me Thursday® Official Spokesperson!
Jennie Garth has opened her heart to many rescue dogs and recently adopted a sweet dog, Fauci (named after Dr. Fauci), who she fostered (and inevitably fell in love with) during the COVID-19 quarantine period.
“Pets make me smile. Whether it is the wag of a tail, their soulful eyes, or their unconditional love, they know how to spread joy,” Jennie shares, ”On Remember Me Thursday, join me in spreading the joy (and smiles!) that pet adoption can bring!”
