On July 7th we welcomed a new member to our family, of the fur persuasion. Radar is a 3 1/2-month-old Blue Heeler mix puppy and we are over the moon!
The wonderful people at Hartz offered to send Radar some of their newest products to try out and put to the test. As you know, puppies have the sharp little shark teeth and they like to chew on EVERYTHING, including humans. I was looking forward to trying out some chew toys to help steer him clear of us and my furniture.
They sent a generous package that contained the following products:
Hartz® Chew ‘n Clean® Tuff Bone®
This is the perfect toy for our little chewer, not only is it made out of a really strong material, it also has these little bumps on it that act like a toothbrush cleaning his teeth and gums.
It is also bacon-scented, yes bacon! The smell entices them to chew the bone and not everything else, so smart! He loves it!
Radar loves to play fetch, so the Hartz Tuff Stuff Flyer is perfect. I love that it’s made out of tough nylon that is not only easier on his small puppy teeth but easier to grip for both of us.
The cutouts also make it the perfect tug of war toy. It also contains a squeaker in the middle for added fun but I’m not so sure Radar likes the sound, he gets so mad when it squeaks!
Hartz® Nature’s Collection® Quackers Plush Large
Another favorite of Radar’s is stuffed animals. When we picked him up the people that had him sent him along with two stuffies. Hartz sent him Nature’s Collection Quackers Plush Duck that makes Duck sounds and he absolutely loves it.
I’m surprised he doesn’t rip them, but he doesn’t, he plays with them and sleeps with them, so I think they are more or less a comfort thing, like a child with a teddy bear.
Hartz® Tuff Stuff® Nose Divers™ Large
Last but not least, they sent Radar a Tuff Stuff Nose Diver. This is made of that same ballistic nylon that the flyer is made of and is extremely durable. It can definitely withstand his chewing and rough play.
If I had to choose, I think this one is his favorite. It has a squeaker in it, and a rope design on the end for some tug of war fun!
