I love to cook and I love appliances that help me cook my best. The Power Pressure Cooker XL is one appliance that I’ve been eyeing for some time now. Last year I used a pressure cooker for the first time, although I loved how the appliance cooked, I didn’t love the way it worked, it was super confusing. Not the Power Pressure Cooker XL, it has one-touch technology and is a pleasure to use.
We received a 6-quart pressure cooker that contained the following:
- 6 Quart Power Pressure Cooker XL
- Accessory Kit – 4 Piece
- Manual
- AC Cord
- Power Cooking Book
- Home Canning Book
I love how the box lid gives you a step by step on using the product.
We decided to make a couple of recipes from the recipe book that was included. The first one we tried was the roast chicken.
After rinsing and drying the chicken we placed it in the power cooker, we had already added olive oil to the bottom and placed the cooker on Chicken/Meat setting to brown the chicken. This took a few minutes and was a bit of a challenge turning the chicken, but no matter how you cook it, that part is always awkward.
Once we had it browned it was time to put on the lid and make sure it was locked in place and switch the pressure release valve to closed. There are directions on the top of the pressure cooker and also in the manual.
One the chicken is all set to go you simply push the warm/cancel button to take it off the chicken/meat setting, the hit soup/stew button then cook time selector to set the time to 30 minutes. The button as self-explanatory and there is no way you can mess up. The chicken came out super juicy and perfectly cooked! It was falling apart actually. I can’t wait to make chicken soup now.
We then decided to make the mac and cheese and it was just as easy at the roast chicken dish and the kids went nuts over it. They said that it tasted amazing and was the creamiest mac and cheese they have ever had.
The dish took 10 minutes. I absolutely love how much time I saved. Seriously, the Power Pressure Cooker XL is 70% faster than conventional ovens. So in less than an hour I made an entire meal for the family, all I did was heat of some veggies to go with and we were good to go.
The Power Pressure Cook XL saves you so much time, energy and money.
You can place the pot in the dishwasher or clean it in the sink. It was extremely easy to clean, even with sticky mac and cheese remnants.
Another great feature is the fact that you are able to use it as a canner. I’ve never canned fruits or vegetables before but I’m interested in how easy it looks using the Power Pressure Cooker XL.
The secret is the Power Pressure Cooker XL’s air-tight lid. It locks into place, trapping super-heated steam inside. The hyper-pressurized environment forces liquid and moisture into your food, locking in loads of intense flavor and essential nutrients.
The Power Pressure Cooker XL would make a great gift!
