Poor Man’s Pickle Recipe

I have been doing this for quite awhile and I thought to myself why not share with you all what I do to save some cash.

This isn’t the typical pickle making experience just so you know, there are no jars and special spice mixes needed. What I do is quick and easy and cheap.

I start off buying one of my favorite brands of pickles that come in those huge plastic containers you see at the grocery store. I like the garlic flavored but any kind will do. Now eat them, lol, you have to to make the next part work. Now don’t gorge yourself, just eat them as you normally do until they are about half-way gone.

I then buy cucumbers and slice them into spears, skin, seeds and all. You call also slice them into chips if you like as well. Now all you have to do is place your sliced cucumbers in the pickle jar and let sit for at least a week to absorb the brine that is already there. The Voila, you have your very own garlic pickles.

I do this a few times before throwing out the brine and I stuff that jar full of cucumbers until there is no room left. That’s it, that’s my poor man pickle recipe, how easy is that?
