The Perfect Meatloaf Pan – Worked for Me!

Ok, so for the last few week or so, the hubby has heard me say that I wanted this “Perfect” Meatloaf Pan” that I kept seeing on TV. I know what you are thinking, who actually wants that kind of stuff, right? Well, um, me, that’s who. Yeah, I would rather have a new fancy pair of boots or a new outfit, but really, who wouldn’t want  the “perfect” meatloaf pan?

I make meatloaf for two reasons, one, it’s super cheap and two, it provides a ton of food. Even though my little one won’t touch it, my husband and older son devour it. PLUS, meatloaf sandwiches are awesome the next day!

So the other day, hubby comes home from a trip to the store, mainly to get my youngest some Twizzlers that he had become fixated on getting for the past two days, and what does he present to me??? The Perfect Meatloaf Pan! I am embarrassed to say how happy this little gift made me….. but I was super excited 😉

The pan itself is super simple, you have your traditional Meatloaf pan and then a nifty little contraption that floats about an inch up and away from the bottom of the loaf pan to keep it from sitting in all that yucky grease.  When it’s done, you lift it out by the handles and pour away the grease. Traditionally, and we have all done this, you would have to try and pour the grease out of the pan while trying not to lose the loaf as it slides to the side.

Here’s my finished meatloaf on the left and all the yucky grease on the right.

I have to say I am rather impressed, the meatloaf was “perfect” and the grease was easy to dispose of. So if you are thinking about getting it, I’d recommend it, it really does work!

Classic Meatloaf Recipe

  • 2 pounds of ground beef
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon of salt (I use garlic salt)
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2/3 cup bread crumbs (I use Italian)

Glaze

  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 4 tablespoons brown sugar
Heat oven to 350°. Spray a 9x5x3-inch loaf pan or The Perfect Meatloaf pan with nonstick cooking spray. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, eggs, salt, pepper, milk and bread crumbs. Place into loaf pan.

Mix together ketchup and brown sugar and spoon on top of the meatloaf.

Bake for 1 hour and check to see if grease needs to be drained.  Cook till done all the way through, then serve.

Disclosure: I was not compensated for the review, nor did I receive the product for the review. I am just obsessed with As Seen on TV products and my husband bought it for me to try out 🙂
