Oz The Great and Powerful Makeup Collections from Urban Decay and O.P.I #DisneyOzEvent

Thanks to Disney, OPI & Urban Decay, I was provided with gorgeous and fun makeup and nail polish to try out before the big premiere  of Oz The Great and Wonderful in LA on the 13th of this month.

Both O.P.I and Urban Decay have come out with Oz The Great and Powerful lines of makeup and nail polish, so you too can be as bewitching as the characters in the movie.

I love makeup and nail polish, so I was excited to try them out right away. I wanted to show how pretty the colors are on, and it also  helped me decide what colors I might want to wear at the premiere.

 The Glinda Palette

Eyeshadows: Tornado (vibrant deep purple shimmer), Aura (2 shades in 1: iridescent white w/blue shift and iridescent white w/red shift), Magic (pinkish purple w/golden shimmer), Illusion (pale peach satin), Oz (2 shades in 1: gold shimmer w/gold glitter and silver shimmer w/silver glitter) and South (warm pale gray shimmer w/silver micro-glitter). Eye Pencil: deep eggplant. Lip Color: Glinda (light sheer beige).

I love all of the colors, especially the Tornado (purple) color, and the silver shimmer. The colors are true to the pic, very vibrant, have gorgeous shimmer, and just so pretty!

I used the Tornado, Magic, and Aura shadows, and the deep eggplant eye pencil to create the look I have. They do provide a card detailing how to get the look of Glinda if you want to play Good Witch for the night 🙂

I also liked the lip color, (light sheer beige). It’s not heavy and looks really pretty on, and just the right amount of color. I usually don’t use lipsticks that are an actual stick, but I liked the ease of it.

The Theodora Palette

Eyeshadows: Broken (pale cream satin), Beware (warm brown matte), Bewitch (dark charcoal brown satin), West (deep metallic brown), Spell (2 shades in 1: black satin w/green and gold shimmer and gold metallic w/tonal glitter) and Jealous (2 shades in 1: pale green pearl and dark green pearl). Eye Pencil: black. Lip Color: Theodora (bright red cream).

Love, love, love this palette. I tend to go for darker colors, and a lot of green and browns since my eyes are green, so this palette was perfect!

I used Jealous (dark green), West (deep metallic brown), Jealous (pale green), and a little of the Spell (gold shimmer). I also used the black eye pencil.

The lip color is a bright red, so it may just be perfect for the evening red carpet event.  Again, they also provided a card to copy Theodora’s look.

O.P.I (Coming Soon!)

Next we have the Oz The Great and Powerful nail polish collection from O.P.I Most of the colors are sheer in nature except for one. I tried them all on so you could get an idea of what they look like.  Check out the awesome names.

There are also 3 other colors not shown in this collection: Lights of Emerald City, When Monkey’s Fly, and Which is Witch? I love the colors! I’m pretty sure I will be wearing “What Wizardry is This? to the premiere since it is the closet match to my ensemble, but will definitely where all of them since I usually wear sheer colors on a daily basis.

This limited edition promotion will be available beginning March 2013 at Professional Salons, including Beauty Brands, Beauty First, Chatters, Dillard’s, jcp Salons, Pure Beauty, Regis, Trade Secret, and ULTA, for $9.00 ($10.95 CAN) suggested retail for each nail lacquer.
