Week 2 on Nutrisystem has been a week full of ups and downs 🙁  Last week I lost 7 pounds and this week was filled with days of watching the scale go up and feeling quite defeated.

According to the Nutrisystem Dietitian, this is quite normal on week 2 of the program, the weight that is. Basically my body is kind of in shock, with the change in eating patterns, and for me it was a severe change in schedule, it needs time to basically catch up. This is frustrating and in my brain, it caused me to be really crabby and want to give up. I thought, I was eating too much, cause why else would I gain when I was following the plan to an exact tee???

I now know from speaking to the Dietitian, and peeking at other #NSNation Bloggers results that this is normal, and it has put my mind at ease. It’s hard to change your thinking after years of dealing with eating issues, but knowing that my fellow bloggers are experiencing the same thing makes me feel not so alone.

Regardless of the bouts of depressions, I pushed through and have continued to eat on plan. I found a couple of meals that I did not like, the Chicken Fajita and the Chicken Tortilla Soup will not be on my list next month. I still love all of the eggs and have a new favorite for dinner…..

Chicken with Dumplings

I do have to admit that even though that blasted scale was being fickle, I do feel lighter and my clothes feel better and not so tight.

WEEK 1: -7

WEEK 2: -1

TOTAL LOST: 8 pounds

( I will be updating every Monday)

So my nugget of wisdom this week is DON’T GIVE UP, AND PUSH THROUGH – it won’t happen overnight (even though you really want it too 😉 8 pounds in 2 weeks is more than I could have done alone, onward and upward or downward in regards to the scale 🙂
