Even though my heritage is far from Irish, Ireland is my number one choice as my ultimate family vacation. As long as I can remember I have loved all things Irish, from the beautiful scenery all seen in pictures, to its rich Celtic roots. I actually have a Celtic heart tattoo because of my affinity for the culture.
My husband also loves Ireland and I know the number one spot on his vacation itinerary – The Guinness Storehouse! I, on the other hand would love to visit the various castles like the Bunratty Castle, the Rock of Cashel, and the Blarney Castle. I would also love to visit the Cliffs of Moher and the boys would be so completely mesmerized by all of this.
I also love the Irish folklore that blankets Ireland, like mermaids, fairies and leprechauns. I think the boys would love this aspect of a trip to Ireland, not to mention how educational the entire trip would be, they could be learning while having fun, which is very important to us.
