MONOPOLY: ELECTRONIC BANKING EDITION

All it takes to become a real estate tycoon is the swipe of a bank card in Monopoly: Electronic Banking Edition. Keep your finances at your fingertips with an electronic banking unit as players buy property, pay bills and collect debts from opponents to become the richest player in the game. And rich just got richer! With updated property values as high as $4 million and paychecks for passing “GO” equaling $2 million, players will become moguls faster than ever as they wheel and deal their way around the board!

Monopoly, who doesn’t have the best memories of playing this old favorite as a child? I know I have wonderful memories of playing the game for hours!! I also remember that I always wanted to be the dog, but my Mom always claimed it first, lol, so I went for the thimble. Ahh, the memories!

Now Monopoly has gone super modern with the Monopoly: Electronic Banking Edition! Now to reign supreme, all you need is the swipe of your bank card – that’s right, you now have a bank card in this version. This feature had my youngest loving the game even more than he already did, he said he was an “adult” now, LOL.

This game is a little different than the one we all know and love, in this one, you don’t collect paper cash from your properties, everything is tracked using the electronic banking unit. This was hard to get used to at first since I was so used to the old way, and always liked to “hide” my money, so people couldn’t see what I had 😉 I quickly adapted though and actually prefer this way now, it’s so fun!

Game Play is the same, you still buy properties and pay rent if you land on another persons property, but, as I previously stated, it’s all tracked on your bank card.

For me, this was awesome!  My boys want to play every night now, which makes me happy that we can play and create our own family memories that I hope they take with them through life, that’s what matters most, creating long-lasting memories doing something extremely fun!

MONOPOLY: Electronic Banking Edition comes with the following:

  • Gameboard
  • Electronic Banking Unit
  • Title Deed cards
  • Chance and Community Chest cards
  • 6 bank cards
  • 2 dice
  •  6 tokens
  • 32 houses
  • 12 hotels and instructions

**Requires 2 AAA batteries, not included. For 2 to 6 players. Ages 8 and up.

Want to purchase Monopoly: Electronic Banking Edition? You can on Hasbro.com

Monopoly (the old school version) has been our family favorite here lately. If everyone cant agree on one particular game we just do a few different card games like old maid, war and crazy 8’s that way there’s something for everybody!
