In one episode from Season 2 of The Middle, Brick shares Sue’s room where they accidentally knock a hole in her wall, they try to fix it but only make it worse. They attempt to cover it up by putting a poster over it but it doesn’t work. Isn’t that always the way? I know as an adult it’s happened to me, just recently I tried to repair a hole in the couch only to make it bigger and worse than it was. I didn’t have to cover up for anyone, but still felt like a dolt. LOL!
I know that my kids have tried to cover up for one another, it’s just nature for siblings to do that, and sometimes it works and then sometimes, not so much. Just the other night one of them was trying to cover up breaking their father’s head-phones, but the guilt became too much to bear and he fessed up in the end, but the little one was all but willing to help “cover” it up but there was just no getting out of this one.
