Menopause and Breast Cancer in America #GetAMammogram

Having gone through a “scare” this past year with four mammograms, three of which were diagnostic, I am a huge proponent of getting a mammogram and early detection.

I wanted to share with you this infographic from Sleep Pink, an initiative from the makers of Estroven that will start in October. The infographic sheds some light on the correlation between menopause and breast cancer.

According to the American Cancer Society, two out of  three invasive breast cancers are found in women 55 or older, which means that menopause-aged women are at a substantially increased risk.1 That’s why Estroven, the safe multi-symptom menopause relief solution,* announces the return of “Sleep Pink.” This partnership will support the Avon Foundation for Women, which raises funds to advance access to quality breast health care, to research prevention and causes of breast cancer and ultimately, to find a cure. Sleep Pink is a national movement of pink pajama parties held to celebrate survivors and remind women of the need for continued awareness.
