A few months ago one of my favorite content creators posted a video of her homemade mayonnaise recipe and I was so intrigued that I gave it a try. It was so good that I played with the recipe and some flavors to develop my own recipe to my taste.
Now that the holidays are here, I will be making the mayonnaise more than usual for those leftover turkey sandwiches or various cold salads. Being a Mealthy Mom, you can imagine my joy when they sent me the Mealthy Handblend Immersion Blender with Whisk, Chopper, and Cup.
I use my current immersion blender a lot, so I was excited to see how this one compared since it is a professional model and is definitely better constructed. It’s made of high-quality stainless steel with sharp blades and is 100% BPA-free. Besides mayo, I use my immersion blender a lot for things like homemade whip cream, and fruit smoothies. I like the whisk attachment that comes with this one since it will be great to use for making scrambled eggs, pancake batter, pudding and so much more!
Another great feature is the ten-speed settings and the ultimate in power, the Turbo button! I feel like I won’t be waiting long for my favorite recipes with this immersion blender. Plus, you also get the 100% BPA-free chopper attachment. I can’t wait to make my homemade salsa with that!
Homemade Garlic Mayonnaise

- 1 tablespoon minced garlic
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup light olive oil, not extra virgin (you can use any light oil you’d like such as grapeseed oil, avocado oil, etc.)
Directions
Use a tall measuring cup, or jar so you immersion blender fits. The Mealthy Handblend comes with a large cup that is perfect for all kinds of recipes.
Crack the egg into the cup
Pour in 1 cup of oil
1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
Add 1 tablespoon of garlic
Add the salt and pepper
Place the blender into the cup all the way to the bottom and start blending. You will see the ingredients quickly come together. If it is too thick, add a bit more oil to thin it out.

ENTER TO WIN A MEALTHY HANDBLEND IMMERSION BLENDER
I like to make smoothies and this seems much easier to clean than blender
Mayo would be great to make but I also would make some salad dressings
Should I win, it would be used for smoothies, mayo, salad dressing & of course salsa. Homemade controls the salt & sugar content.
I would use this to make mayo and to add bananas and other fruits and veges to my pancake mixes.
I would make puree to turn into homemade popsicles for my daughter. Mine is broken after being accidentally dropped.
I would like to try and make a Honey Mustard sauce or the mayo looks good.
I would like to use this for different soups or smoothies.
I would use this great hand held mixer when I make any type of dip or recipe that has cream cheese in it. This thing would whip it up real quick for me.
I have been waiting for this one! I would make soups!
I’d like to try to make my own pesto with this. It looks so easy to use.
I would actually use it to make mayo like you did. We used to have a product called a Thunderstick that we used to make our own mayo, but that broke a decade ago, and we never bought a replacement.
I’d like to make some home made whipped cream for holiday desserts and drinks
I would make soup.
I’d make green smoothies for my son first.
