MARVEL’S IRON MAN & HULK: HEROES UNITED
Available only on Blu-ray™, DVD and Digital platforms December 3, 2013
My family is a Marvel family, we buy every Marvel movie once it hits the shelves. Iron Man is undeniably our favorite, mine for the reason that Robert Downey Jr. plays Iron Man, but I digress.
So when we learned that two of the most iconic Marvel characters, Iron Man and Hulk were teaming up in the first full-length animated feature from Marvel animation studios, we were excited to get our hands on it. Marvel’s Iron Man & Hulk: Heroes United features the voices of Adrian Pasdar (TV’s “Heroes,” “Marvel’s Ultimate Spider-Man”) as Iron Man and Fred Tatasciore (TV’s “Marvel’s Hulk and the Agents of S.M.A.S.H.,” “Marvel’s Ultimate Spider-Man”) as Hulk.
In this epic feature, Iron Man and Hulk come together to save the Earth from its greatest threat yet! When two HYDRA scientists try to supercharge a Stark Arc Reactor with Hulk’s Gamma Energy, they unleash a being of pure electricity called the Zzzax – and he’s hungry for destruction. Together, Iron Man and Hulk are the only force that stands in the way of the Zzzax’s planetary blackout. But first the Super Hero duo will have to get through snarling Wendigos, deadly robots and the scaly powerhouse, Abomination.
Iron Man is hugely popular, as is Marvel’s Avengers, so it makes perfect sense to bring these two characters together as a force to be reckoned with. My boys love both characters and absolutely loved this movie, as did my husband, who is also a HUGE Marvel fan.
If you watched Avengers, you saw the chemistry between Hulk and Iron Man, it was funny, and some times volatile but they work really well together, so why not bring them together in a movie to fight villains? You have Tony Starks intelligence, and Hulks temper, and two characters that couldn’t be any different, but through all of the differences, they both have one thing in common, fighting for justice.
This movie contains lots of action, and will keep your Marvel fans glued to the screen. Not to mention the CG is really well done and lends even more excitement to the movie. The production of Marvel’s Iron Man & Hulk: Heroes United marks the historic first occasion Marvel Animation Studios has completely utilized computer generated technology in order to create a Super Hero adventure. The use of CG animation results in a visually groundbreaking tale that brings stunning and vibrant new life to the animated Marvel Universe.
Just like the Marvel movies, there just may be a surprise at the end of the movie, so it’s always worth letting the movie run until after the credits.
