A couple of weeks ago I posted about joining the Quaker Heart Health Challenge. I promised myself that I would walk more as a start to getting healthier.

Well, I will be honest and admit, that although I did walk some, I didn’t do as much as I would have liked too. BUT I have made a goal to do it more this Spring. I’ll be taking my dog with me and have talked my youngest into walking along with Mommy for some bonding time. I hope to talk my oldest son and my husband into joining us as well, making it a family affair. 🙂

Even though I didn’t walk as much as I planned, I did do something else to keep me active….I started dancing, not going out to dance, although hubby and I do that once a month for date night, but around my house. My boys get a kick out of it and I feel like I had a mini-workout. It’s the little steps that count!

One thing that did happen in these past couple of weeks is my husband finally got on board with eating healthier. It was hard trying to do it alone, since they seemed to always be enjoying the forbidden foods. So now that hubby started eating better, the kids have followed and I am super happy! They see us eating lots of fruits and veggies and now they want too, well, the oldest does, the youngest is still super picky, but we are working on him!

What changes have you made? Did you reach your exercise goals? Started cooking healthier? I’d love to know how you are doing!
