I had the pleasure of reviewing a JORD Wood Watch, a unique creation that I honestly had never heard of. A wooden watch? How would that look? How would it work? Would it look odd? I was about to find out the answers to all of that and more.
I chose the Fieldcrest series black wood watch for men and women.
The watch arrived in a beautiful box, and was quite stunning, not at all as I suspected it would look. It was very lightweight as well. You expect when you hear the word wood, that there may be some heft to the watch but that was not the case.
Each watch is handcrafted from 100% Real Wood and you can see that beautiful craftsmanship in the watch. The wood itself was gorgeous, dark, with a satin like sheen to it. It was smooth, and felt nice on your wrist. Unfortunately, my wrists are very small and it didn’t fit me at all, BUT it did fit my husband like a glove. I think it is more of a masculine watch for sure, the dark wood, and the style of this watch looks really great on a mans wrist, so stylish and sophisticated.
Just keep in mind, you can ALWAYS have the watch re-sized to fit. Individual links can be added and removed using either a small screwdriver or push pin (depending on the model). Any jewelry repair shop or retail store that sells watches will also be able to remove the links for you.

I love these unusual wooden watched. I love the craftsmanship involved. Very artistic and unique. Nothing else out there in retail land that even comes close. I loved the Ely Red one. The red face really made it “pop” for me, plus red is my favorite color.
