Love turkey but not too terribly fond of preparing an entire turkey? I will be honest in saying that I only cook a whole turkey on Thanksgiving and on Christmas because it is too much of a hassle to cook on any other normal day. So what do you do when you need to make a whole turkey or when the holiday season is upon you?

The Jennie-O Oven Ready Turkey goes directly from your freezer to your oven with no thawing, easy clean up and no worries. You can have turkey all year long! I was sent a whole turkey to try and let me tell you, I am hooked!! Cooking a turkey has never been easier!!
Once you get the package at home remove the outer package, you will see the whole turkey fully seasoned inside of a cooking bag, all you need to do is preheat the oven to 375 degrees, making sure beforehand that your oven rack is low enough to allow the cooking bag to expand while cooking. Cut 6 1/2 inch slits into the bag. Place the turkey in a roasting pan that has 2″ high sides and pull the bag up off of the turkey to release the vacuum.
Cook until 170 degrees or till the timer pops, then let rest for 15 mins. Slice open the bag and start carving. They do include a bag of gravy, so you don’t even have to worry about making that.
I made a mini Thanksgiving dinner with mashed potatoes, corn and broccolini. The turkey was moist, flavorful, and delicious!
