I love coffee, I mean I really LOVE coffee, hot, cold you serve it to me and I will drink it. I have only a couple of criteria, it has to have cream and it cannot be decaf. That being said, I also love trying new coffee brands so when Java House Cold Brew Coffee reached out and wanted me to try some of their products I jumped at the chance.

Yay, coffee!

Ok, so they sent me a few boxes of their Dual-Use Liquid Cold Brew Pods. Dual, as in you decide whether you want to brew it hot using your coffee machine, or just pour it right into a glass of ice for a frosty, decadent coffee drink. I did it both ways to see how they tasted.

I was sent Ethiopian – Light Roast, Colombian – Medium Roast and a Sumatran – Dark Roast, all of which I loved but leaned toward the light roast. Although, each one was pretty amazing. Jave House steeps their coffee for 12 hours in handcrafted small batches. There are no preservatives, no coffee additives, no coffee derivatives or reconstituted coffee.

First the hot brew. The pods are made to fit right into my Keurig. They give you a little card to let you know how to place the pod, which is simple and then you just brew as normal.

What comes out is a deep rich aromatic coffee that tastes as if you bought it at a fancy boutique coffee shop.

I was excited to try the cold brew since I don’t normally make those at home, that’s usually a drink that I purchase while out and about. For the cold brew, it was simple, all you have to do is pop the pod open and pour over ice.

You can add water if you like, but I opted for just cream and it was amazing! I’ll be making more of these for sure, especially as the weather turns warmer.
