The How To Train Your Dragon trilogy has to be my most favorite collection of movies ever. When this one was announced I almost cried seeing that Toothless would possibly have a mate and a very happy ending to his story. You see, I fell in love with Toothless the first time I laid eyes on him because he is adorable!

About the film:

In How To Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World the heroic pair finally fulfill their destinies; Hiccup (Jay Baruchel) as the village chief and ruler of Berk alongside Astrid (America Ferrera), and Toothless as the dragon leader of his own kind. As the Vikings and dragons of Berk face their darkest threat yet, the evil Grimmel (F. Murray Abraham), and Toothless discovers his soulmate, Light Fury – the bonds of Hiccup and Toothless’ friendship are tested like never before.

My thoughts:

Of course, with my love of the movies and of Toothless I absolutely loved this third and final film. I feel like it gave the characters the ending that they deserved. In this film, Hiccup and Toothless go up against an evil force that wants to enslave dragons. Throughout the film there are many battles, both physically and emotionally. Friendships are tested and love blossoms, especially when Toothless discovers his soulmate, Light Fury.

Overall, as a fan of all of the movies, this was a satisfying end to the trilogy. If you have seen the other movies then you pretty much know what to expect as far as the violence depiction etc. It’s pretty similar to the previous movies.
