I am being compensated for helping spread the word about the new Hill’s® Science Diet® Youthful Vitality pet food for cats and dogs over the age of 7, but FSM Media only shares information we feel is relevant to our readers. Our oldest fur-baby is Ollie, he is 12 years old and showing signs of natural aging. He’s a little slower, his fur seems dull, and he appears to not hear as well as he once did. Of course, as pet parents you want your pets to live forever and to be as healthy as they can for as long as they can so you will do what you can.
When I was approached about trying out the NEW Hill’s® Science Diet® Youthful Vitality cat food I was a little hesitant because Ollie is a creature of habit, and is super picky about new dry food. In the 12 years that we have had him, we have maybe changed foods 3 times because all of the other times we tried he refused to eat the new food. So this in itself was a huge challenge.
Luckily, when I started incorporating the food like you are instructed to, add little at a time to the regular food to gradually introduce it, he didn’t seem to mind. He did leave the new food for a few days, but then all of a sudden when I went to refill his bowl the old food and the new food was gone. He was eating the Hill’s® Science Diet® Youthful Vitality! Yay!
Over the next few weeks I added more and more of the Hill’s® Science Diet® Youthful Vitality food and less of his old until the entire bowl contained the new. He was none the wiser and never once stuck his nose up at the food. SUCCESS!
Ollie does appear to have more pep in his step and even plays more with this little brother and sister. His fur also looks better, it’s shinier and it feels really soft. I have also noticed he doesn’t scarf the food down like he used to with his old food, I am not sure if it’s because he likes the food more so he savors it or what that means but I am glad he stopped.
I am so happy with how well Ollie has responded to this food and will continue to purchase it in the future. You can also try Hill’s products for your pets by printing some great money saving coupons.
