When I think of Carmex, I always think of when I first met my husband. He always had that little jar with the yellow top with him at all times and now, just the smell of Carmex reminds me of when we first started dating. Strange, right? LOL, its funny what little things trigger memories.
I digress, I have always used (took from hubby) Carmex and was delighted to learn about their new product designed for women. Carmex Moisture Plus™ Tints is a sleekly designed lip balm that contains vitamin E, aloe, aloe, shea butter, avocado butter and SPF 15. It looks like a lipstick and even has a tint to it – sheer pink and sheer peach, just enough color to give your lips a natural tone and still provide the same protection of regular Carmex products. It also has a slanted tip, so application is as easy as applying your favorite lip product.
I use mine when I am just out running around and lipstick seems a little much. The sheer tint is just the right amount to make me feel like I have some color to my face and doesn’t feel all thick and heavy like regular lipstick. I wouldn’t even mind a darker shade to wear at night when I go out. It also lasts a really long time so I don’t have to worry about re-applying all day. I just throw it in my purse or pocket since it is so small and whenever I need it, I can easily apply, even without a mirror.
Now that the weather is colder, I think I’ll be using Carmex Moisture Plus™ Tints quite often since I always seem to have chapped lips in the winter. We are going on another family day trip this weekend, outdoors, so I know it will come in handy.
