The last several months have had me on a mission to better my health. So far I have lost almost 25 pounds and am more determined than ever to keep going. Best Buy had just the device I was looking for and was also super stylish. Say hello to the Fossil – Gen 4 Venture HR Smartwatch 40mm Stainless Steel in Rose Gold. Isn’t it just gorgeous?! I just love the rose gold color and diamond-like like bling down the band. It really makes this watch looks super classy and elegant. It’s also water resistant! What?! I love that, talk about feeling confident knowing that you watch will be ok if it gets wet or submerged for whatever reason.
Another great feature of this watch is the fact that you can digitally change the watch face. So, if you don’t like the preset watch-face, you can load up the Wear OS app, which is compatible with Android phones and iPhone and choose from several different watch faces. All you do is make your choice, tap it and just like that you have a new watch face. I chose the puppy since I thought it was so cute.
Speaking of the Wear OS app, it was super easy to set up and link my phone to the watch. You just download and install the app and then sync your account. I synced my Google account so all of my accounts were immediately available on the watch. Now I can get emails, and social media alerts, access to my calendar, SMS and truly stay up to date on day-to-day happenings and the watch will vibrate discretely to alert me.
Back to the fitness abilities. I love that it does everything that I want it to do and so much more! The Fossil – Gen 4 Venture HR Smartwatch works with Google Fit app’s two new activity trackers—Heart Points and Move Minutes—which were designed in collaboration with the American Heart Association and the World Health Organization. It tracks distance, calories burned, activity, sleep activity, heart rate, steps taken and even floors climbed. I can even play music while I am getting my steps in.
