What is the number one reason you put off home repairs? Money? Time? Resources? I know for me it’s mainly money, I don’t want to hire someone one for an exorbitant mount of money without the 100% guarantee that the job will be performed correctly, and within budget for that matter.
Since I can remember, I have always been the type to figure something out on my own instead of having someone else do it for me. If I couldn’t figure out something, I would literally work at it for days until I learned how. That is how I am with home repairs, I would rather do it myself. I find it to be relaxing in most cases, like painting, I love the creative process of picking the colors and then making it happen. It’s rewarding to see an idea come to fruition.
Recently, I have been looking at our bathroom and really wanting a change. Just last night I was looking at how to replace vinyl flooring because our floor has seen better days. Then I thought, if I replace the flooring then I need to replace the vanity, and that had me looking at possible new bathroom vanities.
Of course all of this led to paint colors, and new accessories. I am now really eager to remodel the bathroom, like super ready. I will do it myself, only because I like the control I have over costs and design.
