The day of the Cinderella world premiere it was raining, so before we could make our way to the El Capitan Theater for the reception and pre-party we had to make our way across the street.
Of course, being so close to the Oscar stairs, we had to stop and get a photo, something we also did when I attended the Oz premiere back in 2013.
Once we arrived we headed to the red carpet. As I stated, I walked the red carpet once before so I remember it being very quick, and rushed, so I snapped pictures as fast as I could. They had the entire red carpet and a premiere party tented from the rain which was coming down like crazy! BUT the rain was the furthest from my mind, I was on the red carpet!!!
I love my friends for taking pictures with me, I tend to hide from photo’s which is a topic for another blog post and something I am working one, but a few of them managed to make sure I was in some pictures. Thank you Stefani (mommyenterprises.com), Carol (AllMommyWants.com) and Christy (GiveawayTrain.com) for the images, it means so much!
At the end of the red carpet they had the entrance to the party where they welcomed us people on stilts, jugglers, and a little fan-fare…
I was so tickled by it all and overwhelmed when I started see stars pass me by; Ian Ziering and Jason Priestly were the only two I could snap pictures of, can you see them? I did have a few stars standing right next to me, Toni Collette for one, but I didn’t want to bother them mainly because they were with their families, so I tried to be discreet in snapping any photos, and got a few.
The party included a showcase of merchandise from HSN, a fun craft table for the little ones, dancing, photo booths, food and drink, and a silhouette portrait just like they did in the 1800’s. This was really interesting so I had to get it done. I had to sit across from the artist, to the side so he could painstakingly cut out my silhouette. It was really amazing how intricate the entire process was and now I have a keepsake to treasure.
After the party, we headed into the El Capitan Theatre where I caught a glimpse of Cinderella herself, Lily James. She is simply stunning! I also saw a few others stars before I took my seat.
Take a look at all the Cinderella arrivals that magical evening!
Cinderella is theaters March 13, 2015 with the Frozen Fever short playing right before. I will be posting my review of both movies on the same day. Stay Tuned!
