Last December I went to Disneyland for the very first time and it was amazing! Just this week I had the opportunity to visit again for Pixar Fest being held now through Sept. 3rd. Pixar Fest celebrates all that is the wonderful world of Pixar, so if you are a big Pixar fan, this is your mecca!
As soon as you enter the park you are inundated with Pixar goodness everywhere, from signs to balloons to yummy treats, whatever you are looking to find, you will.
After being treated to some amazing ears, we made our way to the California Adventure Park where we headed to the Adorable Snowman Frosted Treats to try the Pixar Pier Frosty Parfait.
The overall consensus of the group was, YUM!
We made our way through the park and ended up meeting a couple of friends who were gracious enough to take a picture with us.
Be sure to head to Paradise Gardens where you will find Pixar Pals experiences that include Character appearances, entertainment and so much more!
Next we headed to Cars Land to ride a few of the rides, which are always super fun and hilarious.
We made our way over to Disneyland to get ready for the Pixar Play Parade which as you can imagine, was spectacular!
I felt like a little kid again watching all of the iconic Pixar characters old and new come down the street complete with music, dancing and bubbles! I highly recommend the parade!
Next we headed to Alien Pizza Planet for our dinner and to check out all of the delicious Pixar themed food and desserts being offered during Pixar Fest.
Just look at the amazing creations the Chef’s created. Each one had so much character and you could tell the time and effort it took to make them.
Which one would you like to try?
After dinner, and a few more rides at the park, we headed to secure our place for the Together Forever – A Pixar Nighttime Spectacular show that involves projections, pyrotechnics and music from all of your favorite Pixar movies and takes place at and on the Castle. The show is projected onto the Castle and lasts about 12 minutes.
Talk about an amazing show! This was truly spectacular and exciting too! There is something about seeing your favorite characters projected that big right in front of you that once again, makes you feel like a kid again.
It was the perfect way to wind down with a Dole Whip (my first one ever) after a fun day at the parks.
If you are a Disney/Pixar fan and you are thinking about heading to the Pixar Fest this Summer, don’t think twice. The park goes all out as you would expect and it is definitely something you should experience.
